Thank you everyone for your inputs.

For those considering full range speakers for sides, I borrowed my full range speakers from my stereo but did not get nearly the same results as with my 2 subs on the sides. Placement was awkward with the full range and I could really localize the side speakers. I am all but convinced dipoles are the way to go on the sides.

Many of us have also spent good money on good side speakers so it is more econmical to purchase 2 small subs to compliment your existing sides.

I do not believe Lexicon requires an LFE sub for BE. They advise to configure the sub output at 40hz. I tried that with BE on and off and at 40hz got virtually no bass from the LFE sub. Had to raise to sub level to 80hz to get a decent response from my LFE sub.

To be honest, using BE with 2 side subs, I don't think I will need an LFE sub the bass was that good. Of course I will experiment with an additional LFE sub when I decide which small subs to purchase for the sides.

All I can recommend to all, if you can beg borrow or steal a second sub to test BE as I have, you to will be amazed at the results.

Thanks again
Rick
