Feedback Please
Posted by Andrew Clark - LEXICON [IP: 208.26.117.2] on April 29, 1999 at 09:04:04 We would like to get your feedback regarding the functionality of the volume up/down and effect up/down buttons on the DC-1, DC-2, and MC-1 remote controls. First a quick explanation of how they currently work: When the button is pressed once, the OSD is engaged but nothing changes. In other words if the volume is set to +00dB and you press volume up (or down) once, the volume doesn't change, but the OSD is engaged. This was originally intended to serve as a quick way to view the status of the unit without changing anything. It's not until the button is pressed again or held down within 2-seconds that the actual change occurs. So pressing volume up a second time within 2 seconds would increase the volume to +01dB. It has been suggested to us, by Stuart among a few others, that we change this so that the first press of the button initiates the change. In other words, using the above example the first press of the volume up key would have increased the volume to +01dB and engaged the OSD to confirm the change. My question is this: Would people like to see this functionality change as described above? Thanks in advance for your feedback.
