No. There is a specific key combination (Shift+Music) that switches to Music Surround. It cannot be reassigned.

In any case, if you get V3 for your DC-1, you'll have to reprogram your RC-2000, as all the remote codes are different (if you get an MC-1, there are some common codes, but you'll still have to do some reprogramming).

However, as Shawn pointed out, the overall remote operation is much more intelligent.
