Hooked up my MC1

Using Mozilla/3.0 WebTV/1.2 (compatible; MSIE 2.0):

Just some observations and some questions.I have not even completed all the hook ups yet but I have to say one thing, the video quality difference between this and my dc1 is most definitely noticible. It is as close to a direct run to the display device as anyhing I've ever seen.
Also,It appears to me that the jack pack is a bit sturdier than that of the dc1.Anybody else notice this? I really notice it because most of my interconnects are the Monster cable "Death Grip"M550's and it used to give me heart palpitations when plugging an unplugging them from my dc1.
Next, the FP display. Why dont they make it switchable between colors? Cheap car stereos have that option.
And now the remote. While it is certainly better than the old one it is still going to spend it's life in the drawer, used once to program my RC2000mkII.If it had included a pair of learning cable box control buttons it may have been allowed a place on the coffee table, such is not the case though.
Lastly my initial impression of straight DPL is that the MC1 seems to be a little on the bright side.Granted this is a cursory observation,I haven't even calibrated the levels yet.If that changes how it sounds I'll let you know.
I've rambled enough for now!
