Ohh, I just thought of another tiny little behavoir that bugs me about my DC-1, besides the double clicking remote volume control problem that is.

When I am going to be away for more than a week I tend to power off my DC-1 with the master power switch on the back. When I turn the DC-1 on again by the back switch the unit goes through a self test and then powers off and is in stand-by mode. Relays un-necessarily clicking, my amps and equalizers powering up and down, ...

Now this seems silly to me, the unit is powered on, now what is the logic to turn it off immediately? I just turned the unit on, guess what, chances are I plan on using it! So having to manually power it on again is just an annoyance. Now I admit this is a real minor quirk since I don't do hard power downs that often, but still, it makes a person wonder why did the Lexicon engineers do it this way?
