:How hard can it be to make something out of 14 gage steel instead of 10 gage? One weighs more than the other by quite a bit, but it is the same machine bending the steel. Which of coarse answers the question, it really is not hard to make something heavy.

I know close to nothing about this, but it seems to me that thicker metal would require different machines doing the stamping. The main difference, of course, is going to be cost. Thicker metal is going to cost more to use and it's going to cost more to ship. When you throw in the markup of all the middlemen, I wonder how much extra the weight of a unit would add to the cost of the Lexicon.
