I DEFINITELY prefer the way it is. My TV works the other way, with the first hit making a change, and it drives me nuts -- if I want to just check the volume or some other parameter, I have to hit it, then hit it again to put it back the way it was. It doesn't bother me at all to push the button again on the DC-1 to start making changes, but it's somehow disconcerting to know that the way a parameter first appears on screen is one unit "off" from what it was.

Please don't change it.
