Feedback Please

Here's the algorighm I'd use for the volume control: Keep it the way it is now with 2 changes; (1) add some logic where if one presses the volume buttons on the remote within 15 seconds of the last press the change is immediate, and (2) with a continuous press the change is immediate. I like the fact that the first press merely turns on the OSD. That is a useful feature. But sometimes, I'm merely making a fine adjustment in volume after I've already made a change. If I'm making a 1 dB volume correction within 15 seconds of my prior change, I'd like that change to be immediate. Likewise, if I press and hold down the button on the remote, it is clear that I intend a pretty large change, and so that should also be immediate. Now here's the part you won't like. I think that scrolling of effects is a mistake and a feature I really don't like. Too many times I've scrolled when I didn't intend to and with the old DC-1 it took forever to scroll back. Now that the remote provides direct access to the effects, this isn't as big a problem, but that also makes scrolling effects even less necessary, so my vote is to do away with scrolling effects altogether.
