That was only when you are trying to integrate side subwoofers with separate side speakers. If you are trying to separately adjust the woofers in your speakers relative to their mid-tweets, don't. The speaker designer has already done that.

As you gave discovered neither the Avia disc nor any other source is discrete 7.1, so it will not have separate signals for sides then rears. You should calibrate your system using the Lexicon internal test tones.
