DC-1 Upgrade

Using Mozilla/4.5 [en]C-BASF-CORP (WinNT; U):

Went to my dealer and ordered upgrade for system. Currently running V2.x something. This was at the end of last month. I saw a post on here about version 4.0 being released. (after ordering)

Inquired with dealer about it when they called to say it arrived.

He stated it was version 3.0.

Questions are:

Does version 4 replace 3? What are the differences?
Do I need to go from version 2 to 3 then to 4?
If not, why are they still pushing 3?

Help, I'm confused.......I have more trust in what I hear here than what I get from salespeople......
