Hi Philip,

Those shiny new discs may be further away than even YOU think. The "new" delay: the SDMI-compliant digital watermarking technology chosen for the DVD-Audio format. Turns out that, when tested, the watermarking is occasionally AUDIBLE. Doh!

Ironically, some DVD-Audio players (most notably Panasonic & Technics) may actually make it to market in time for holiday shopping, with software showing up way, way after. I'm even tempted to buy one; my dad's been asking for a new paperweight.
