DC-2 in closed case, how hot is too hot?

You should definitely install the DC-2 fan if the back of your cabinet is enclosed. The DTS chip burns HOT HOT HOT. Until you install the fan, I wouldn't play any DTS discs. I would also consider drilling more holes in the back of the cabinet for ventilation, especially around any amps you might have in it.
