Andre,This is a good point, that the computational load is likely to be more than the 9% sample increase. However, even if its O of n squared, its only 19%. This is still within reason of code optimization. I'm not saying it can be done with no extra horsepower, I don't know the algorithms Lex is using, but it looks possible. Of course the MC-1 has more DSP horsepower than the DC-1 and at least a 2x increase is likely. Also, Lex's professional products provide high quality ambiance generation at 48KHz rates and many of them are quite inexpensive relative to the cost of the MC-1. The technical argument that Lex can't do it does not seem very compelling to me. The business argument I think is the real reason that Lex has decided not to provide the modes at 48KHz. - Kent H
