Is it worth it to upgrade DC-1 to V3.1 now?

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.0; Windows NT; DigExt):

Is it worth it to upgrade to V3.1 on my DC-1 or will there be a new revision soon with EX capabilities? I just ordered the 3.1 upgrade, but I saw something about Dolby EX being introduced.
