DC-1 Question

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.0; Windows NT; DigExt):

Hi all-
I recently purchased a used Lexicon DC-1 (AC-3 Ver 2.10) For some reason when I plug my DVD player into a digital input (I've tried coax and optical) and play a DVD, my DC-1 says "NO AUDIO." I have the same problem when I try to use the optical out of my CD player. I'm fairly sure I selected the correct input, and my DVD player worked fine with my old receiver which the DC-1 is replacing. The DVD player is a Toshiba, and the CD player is a Sony. I'm connecting both thru Mosnter optical cables. Any ideas?
