DC-1 Question

Hi Dave,

I'm assuming you're using the V-DISC input for your DVD input and CD for your CD input. Go to the SETUP menu, then the INPUT CONFIG menu, and select V-DISC. A set of parameters should appear, the first of which is GAIN. Go down to AUDIO IN, and make sure you select coax 1/2 or opti 1/2 (depending on which one you've connected your DVD player to). Next, go to FX FORMAT and set it to AUTO. This will allow the DC-1 to read all bitstream types (AC3/PCM/DTS) and select accordingly. If you set this to PCM and then play a DVD (which is AC3), you'll get the "No PCM Audio" message (and vice versa if you set it to AC3 and then play a CD).

Repeat the same steps for the CD player. If this does not work, there is a malfunction in your DC-1 (since you say the DVD player does work with other equipment).
