Have a qualified electician run a dedicated 20 amp circuit to your equipment. If you are in the basement, it may mean using surface mount conduits and boxes.

I might cost a few hundred bucks to protect you, your family, and your investment. Anything less is just not worth the risk.

Extension cords, especially long ones are never a good idea. Over time they are subject to wear and tear that can result in a catastrophe.


Do it right and be safe.
