Sounds like another DTS debacle. Many of us rushed to upgrade and there is still very little DTS software.

Flamin' DTS, to blame for so many things… Let's make it clear that Dolby Digital Surround EX is nothing like DTS, it's fully backward compatible and strictly speaking isn't even a format - it's simply Dolby Digital with a matrix encoded rear centre channel. Every movie that is released theatrically with an EX soundtrack will be transposed to disc with the EX information intact, the system requires no additional tinkering with masters or some such. 'Austin Powers 2' will be the first EX encoded software.
