DTS or just AC3

DTS is going nowhere as a DVD format. It has some niche value for audio discs, though as you can see from the recommended software posts below selection is limited. I've found a few DTS audio discs I like a lot.

I'd suggest you go to one of the online retaileres and look at the DTS selection, then consider whether there's enough that intersts you to warrant the $200.

That being said, as long as you're upgrading to V3, this is the optimum time to do DTS if you want it, because otherwise it costs $500.

Also note that Lexicon just announced Version 4--the Surround EX release, which means that is now the "official" software. So make sure you get that version (you might have to wait a few weeks for it, though, for them to get it out into the sales channels).
