HDCD and Lexicon DC-1

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.0; Windows NT; DigExt):

I have an HDCD player with both analog and coaxial digital outputs. If I use the digital output of the CD player to connect it to the Lexicon DC-1, do I lose the HDCD decoding?

The DACs in the HDCD player are dual Burr-Brown 1702's. Are the DACs in the Lexicon capable of decoding the HDCD signal or am I just totally off-base?

Any help would be appreciated.
