HDCD and Lexicon DC-1

Neither the DC-2 or the MC-1 will decode HDCD (in the same way the DC-1 doesn't). The MC-1 is also the only processor in the family that decodes 24/96kHz.

BTW, there are some "who say the world here, began out there....." - oops, sorry! Too much Sci-Fi. - who configure a traditional pre-amp (one with analog input/outputs) with a unity-gain pass-thru which they use with their Lexicons. This way, when playing HDCD material (or other formats they don't wish digitized etc.), they use an input on the pre-amp and leave the Lexicon out of the loop completely.

This was done pretty much with the DC-1 but the MC-1 seems (from posts here) to be so good and transparent with analog sources, despite the AD/DA conversion that this may not be necesssary.

Do U have a DC-1 or are U thinking of one, BTW?
