Marantz Monoblocks and triggering

Hergott on September 26, 1999 at 23:25:22: The MA-700's have standardized triggers on them. The MA-500's do, however, have triggers on them; I'm just not sure about what voltage they use. They are designed to work with Marantz products, so they may have a proprietary voltage. Also, they have 2 different setting; some of their pre/pros have a toggle button to turn them on and off, some of them have power on and power off. What you might have to do is locate a Maranz pre/pro with a toggle switch and stick a voltmeter on the remote output to see what it is sending. When I was in college, one of my roommates and I got something like that to work with B&O active speakers. It shouldn't be hard with the Marantz's, if you can get a hold of the pre/pro. -Rakesh
