You make a great point Chris.

It is to Lexicon's credit that upgrades are available as a early as possible to meet the changes in the state of the art. However, as you suggest, this upgrade at this time is certainly in the world of diminishing returns. Still, there are those who must have the latest.

You mentioned in your post the 'effort' in an upgrade. While the money in any upgrade is certainly an issue, I find it a complete nuisance in either having the upgrade done at the shop or doing the upgrade youself. I performed three upgrades to my old DC1. Pulling out my roller 19" rack system, disconnecting about 30 cables, taking apart the unit and changing chips, putting the unit back, reconnecting the cables and finally reprogramming the unit, while informative the first time, is certainly a less than satisfactory way to upgrade. Surely Lexicon can come with an easier way to upgrade. While I am thrilled with my new MC1, I am not looking forward to the next must have upgrade.
