Aerial SR3 for sides or rear ?

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; AOL 4.0; Windows 98; RR011199):

if I mounted the sr3 on my sides they would be right next to my ear, my options are to mount them closer to the fronts within 3' of mains, or mount on rear wall, if I mount on rear wall can I use side connects for better base, or just go with rear connects, also which settings would I use, large or small and what crossovers, help please, thanks
