: if I mounted the sr3 on my sides they would be right next to my ear, my options are to mount them closer to the fronts within 3' of mains, or mount on rear wall, if I mount on rear wall can I use side connects for better base, or just go with rear connects, also which settings would I use, large or small and what crossovers, help please, thanks

Have you ruled out the stands Aerial makes for the SR-3s? Those will get them to the right height for side placement.

If that's not an option, rear mounting is better than more forward placement (assuming you only have one set of surrounds).

Bass Enhance really requires direct-to-side placement, but
even those using Arial AR-3s report they get better Bass Enhance effect when augmenting them with side subs, which you can always add later and position on the sides regardless of where you end up putting the mids/tweets.

Good luck,
Philip Brandes
