Sorry for the delay. We've been rather busy with CEDIA and now back here at the factory. Since several of you are curious to find out more about V.4, here's the scoop:

V.4 will include Surround EX for 5.1 Dolby Digtial and dts, an extended A/V Synch Delay (up to 60mS), a new front panel 2-second time-out (including the leds...very cool), and various software corrections including the dts bass enhance shift.

It will have a MSRP of $300, and an introductory price of $100 to compensate those who recently purchased their unit and those who want the new software to correct the dts bass enhance shift. This price will be a limited time (TBD) offer, but in order to make it simple, it will be open to everyone who wants to move up to V.4 early on.

The upgrade will include a new ROM, Owner's Manual, and THX SURROUND EX badge for the front panel. V.4 will be supported by the MC-1, DC-2 (except the THX only version), and DC-1 (except the Base and THX versions). It is a DEALER installable option, and the unit does not need to come back to the factory.

MC-1's and DC-2's will start shipping with V.4 installed from the factory sometime in late October. There will NOT be a corresponding increase in their suggested retail prices. Upgrade kits should start to ship around the same time or shortly thereafter.
