MC-1's and DC-2's will start shipping with V.4 installed from the factory sometime in late October. There will NOT be a corresponding increase in their suggested retail prices. Upgrade kits should start to ship around the same time or shortly thereafter.

Not meaning to start another firestorm, but here I go anyway. I've always defended Lexicon as having exemplary customer service. In the not too distant past I have posted that I would not hesitate buying an MC-1 even knowing about the DTS bass ehance shift problem and the digital lock issue since I was sure that Lexicon would certainly make this right with the early buyers. I reasoned that it was inconceivable that Lexicon would not correct this bug for free. But as I understand it now, it will cost me a minimum of $100 to fix this problem. I understand that this also gets me EX and some other tweaks, but not the feature I hear requested most often - 48Khz support for older effects.

Unless I'm missing something here, I'm a little dissapointed. Not that $100 is a lot of money, but the hassle alone of removing/installing the processor should be payment enough for faithful Lexicon supporters.

I wonder how much the fix for the digital lock problem will cost us early adopters.

I hope this doesn't sound like an "I wan't something for nothing" post, but wanting a bug fix for free doesn't seem out of line to me.

Just my $0.02.
