1- yes. when in its auto mode, the lexicon will simply decode whatever format you send to it.

2- sorry cant remember the warranty period. but lexicon is the absolutely best company Ive ever dealt with in the video or audio industry.

3- sorry, I have a need for monitor outs for video and the digital out for audio- thats all for me, I can understand your frustration with that though

my own two cents on the purchase decision. I had a b&k piece and the problem with b&k is best described by what I was told once by someone who sells ht gear (not b&k though) which is "they do 80% really great but theres the other 20% that they dont do so great that ruins the 80% they do so well." thats exactly how I feel about b&k also. When I replaced my avp2030 with the lexicon dc-1 a while back the difference was night and day.

the mac is a nice unit but I just think that if you want a home theater processor, lexicon is the best- especially the mc-1. I upgraded via lexicon's very generous program and I am thrilled with it.
