DC1 hookup

Hook up the DVD's Component output directly to the HDTV's component in. Though this requires you to set the monitor's input separately from the Lexicon's, it will give you the best possible picture quality.

If your HDTV allows enough inputs, I would also run s-video sources (i.e., s-vhs, ld) directly to the monitor as well (though this is less important with the MC-1, which has better quality video switching).

I'd save at least one monitor input for the Lex if you want onscreen display capability. You could also run your DVD's S-video through the Lex, and your VCR if it has two outs, and use the Lex video switching when you're not feeling picky about video quality.
