It could be the amp depending on its construction method, I'm not familiar with its internals. If the speaker output connectors are mounted to a circuit board, chances of wrong wiring are next to zero, but if the connectors are wired point to point ie;(connector to circuit board via individual heavy wires), the chances are pretty good of wrong wiring to output connectors.

Maybe readers familiar with the internal construction of your amp could shed some light on this.
