Can't help you with the M-72 but I agree $1000 for amp just to push some outdoor speakers is a bit pricey, especially for the optimus.
I am looking to buy the elite vsx07-tx, but have not heard it yet, what do you think of yours, do you feel it stands up to the dolby digital THX receivers put out by Dennon and Onkyo?
I've also read that you cannot listen to the subwoofer in two channel stereo without modifications, do you need the subwoofer or are the modifications not that much of a hassle? Finally are you able to use the receiver in 5 channel stereo, (the salesman who was trying to talk me out of the receiver told me the 7tx was not able to listen to 5 channel stereo.)Thank you in advance
