: : One-liners:

: : Chick Corea "Remembering Bud Powell" - You sit in the center of a six piece combo. The sound is dynamic and well mixed. 5 stars.

: Thanks for these reviews -- would be interested in seeing more -- I have only had the chance to hear the Steely Dan one so far, and really dug it -- what, in your opinion and of the ones you've heard, are the cream of the crop?

Of the five I've actually spent time with, the Corea and Yearwood CDs are the best. None are real duds. I heard the "Hell Freezes Over" CD for a few minutes while a sales droid was demoing for another customer. It sounded awful. I coulda sworn one of the speakers was out of phase, but the sales guy assured me this was not the case.

I'm tempted by the two Moody Blues disks and the Steely Dan one. But I'm a little nervous about how those old recordings will translate into an unforgiving medium, so I think I'll wait until someone else posts a review of them.
