Grey market products are products that are brought into this country, but for one reason or another have not followed proper procedures through customs. Atl east that's what I think. Anyway, what I do know is that they should be avoided since they typically do not carry a valid U.S. warranty and you won't be able to make a warranty claim in the U.S.
