PC line out to receiver... This lets me get some boom and surround effects on quake, and I can listen to music when I'm working at home. My sound card is built in to the motherboard, but is compatible with a sb16. The line out is the size of a small headphone jack. I purchased a headphone to rca cord from radio shack which works fine. Make sure you get the right cord. On my first attempt at this, I mistakenly got a headphone to phono cord, which played the sound, but gave an annoying feedback noise. (As well as playing the left channel louder than the right.) : Is there any way of connecting a line out of a sound card (in my case an AWE 32) to my home theater system without getting that constant, annoying low feedback noise? I have tried connecting it to an Aux, a VCR in, a CD in, messed with the volume settings on the cards, the input levels on the receiver, all to no avail. : I am trying to connect it to a Denon AVR-5600. Any help would be appreciated. : Tom K. : I have good PC speakers, I am merely experimenting...
