Well, I'm not sure the person you spoke to at Yamaha knows what he's talking about. The DSP-A2 can't only be available in Japan, I've just seen one - here in Europe (England)! I'm sure it'll turn up in the U.S. very soon, it's a major market and something is needed to bridge the gap between the DSP-A1 and the rest of the range.
