: : : I've heard several refer to certain mail order products as grey market. Just what does this mean?

: : Grey market products are products that are brought into this country, but for one reason or another have not followed proper procedures through customs. Atl east that's what I think. Anyway, what I do know is that they should be avoided since they typically do not carry a valid U.S. warranty and you won't be able to make a warranty claim in the U.S.

: Besides not carrying a valid manufactures warranty, why would you avoid this unit? Is there any differance between these units and one I could buy at a local retail store?

: What is a so called B stock unit?

There is no difference between the grey market product and the one you would purchase with a valid warranty. However, why risk it buying something without a warranty. The difference in $$$ typically isn't worth it. But then again, I have bought used equipment in the past and that has no warranty either. B stock unit I have never heard that term. Perhaps they are blemished or factory reworks??
