Just what does this mean? : : Grey market products are products that are brought into this country, but for one reason or another have not followed proper procedures through customs. Atl east that's what I think. Anyway, what I do know is that they should be avoided since they typically do not carry a valid U.S. warranty and you won't be able to make a warranty claim in the U.S. : Besides not carrying a valid manufactures warranty, why would you avoid this unit? Is there any differance between these units and one I could buy at a local retail store? : What is a so called B stock unit? B Stock falls under several categories: 1. Units returned under warranty, new unit given to buyer, returned unit repaired and refurbished to factory original specs. 2. Units that didn't pass production test, and were repaired at the factory. 3. Units that are functionally OK, but may have something that could be a potential future problem (e.g. a production run where they discovered a component reliability problem after the units were built). 4. Sometimes B stock refers to overstocks, obsolete models, etc. B stock is usually confined to mean units with a clouded pedigree. Hope this helps! Can you say "Fry's Electronics?"
