Surround Receiver/ Technics SA-EX310?

HI,
my receiver snuffed it, and I am thinking that I may as well get a surround receiver now. I have Canton GLE 70 (2x70 Watts) loudspeakers. I have listened to the Technics SA-EX310 (2x60 Watts) and like it. What can other people recommend?
Also: if I was to complete the surround system with speakers (2rear + 1), what can people recommend in the low price range?
