: I am looking to buy a DD/DTS receiver for my RCA DSS system. I just need some advice on what to buy. Can you guys tell me what hardware might fit my needs??

Here are some integrated amps and receivers that process DD/DTS along with their approx price range.

Sony has an ES receiver DD/DTS ~$1 000.
Kenwood DD/DTS ~$1 000.
Yamaha DSP-A1 ~$2 200. ( no tuner, but doesn't DSS transmit music as well? You wouldn't need a tuner if this is the case ).

I hear the Sony and Kenwood are capable receivers. I own the Yamaha DSP-A1 so here is my biased comments. The DSP-A1 is Yamaha's best piece of work. Sounds great, plenty of power ( 110Wx5 + 35Wx2(6 and 7 front effect channels), all of the I/Os you will ever need, sound fields galore, easy to use, adjustments for just about any scenario you can think of, and premo appearance. Can you tell I am biased? - teehee.

It is all a matter of what kind of money you want to spend. Of course, you could go separates, but be prepared to shell out some serious money.
