NAD T770 receiver questions

I've read it in an CES review of a magazine (forgot which). I believe the article mentioned the price of $1,700. I called Kief's and was told the T770 will likely be available in mid-October and Kief's price is about $1,400. The sales rep. told me to call back in mid-October so he can give me a "fine-tune" price. Hope this help!
