Have you tried to change the mode of the center channel. Unless you have a really good center speaker, the mode should be NORMAL. Another mode is WIDE, which requires the center speaker to be able to reproduce low frequencies (bass), too. Also you could try the PHANTOM mode, which eliminates the need for a center speaker (using LEFT and RIGHT front speaker for CENTER sound). I use the PHANTOM, because my front speakers' mid range units are in the same distance from the floor as the TV screen. See link for other CENTER problems.
