While I agree the Bryston is an excellent amp, I don't think it sounds anything like the Acurus 250 he already has. Not sure if that is the type of amp required. Tough to say without knowing listening preferences, preamp, and speakers.

Then again, the Aragon doesn't sound anything like the Acurus either. Both would, in my humble opinion, sound far superior to the Acurus provided he isn't compensating for voicing issues with the Acurus' colorations.
