Can't go wrong with that unit. If you ever decide dts is viable you will be able to have MSB do an upgrade for less than $500. I used to have a vsx05,upgraded to the VSX09, and when dts is realy here, I may have it upgraded. but until than, what other formats are there. Solid machine. : Does anyone have any thoughts on the build quality, DD processing, amplification quality, THX stuff, etc. of this receiver. I purchased it a few months back and I work too much to really get a feel for how well it performs. It has 5 s-video inputs, 3 digital audio inputs, preamp outs, multiroom capability, 5x100 watts of power, THX certification, Dolby Digital decoding, and universal learning remote---all for $1199. It sounds great powering my NHT bookshelf speaks and the processing of DVD playback from my Toshiba 3107 seems good. I guess I just want to feel good about my purchase, even if it isn't a very upgradeable unit. Also, I have not seen any comments on this receiver on this or any of the smr forums.
