I would consider DTS important, after all, most manufacters have now included it in new model Receivers. They would not add extra cost of manufacturing without good reason.

Roumors of DTS being a flop seem to be promoted by owners of DD only equipment, trying to protect their investment, by knocking down any new contenders. They would be SOL with new formats, unless they have a 6ch input.
