Yes, I think it'll be worth it. I am most interested in its ability to accomodate future technologies without expensive replacements/swap-outs. There are pre-pro options that are less. The Sunfire Theater Grand lists at $3295 as I recall. I think B&K also has one under $3k. Keep in mind the $4100 is LIST pricing. I know of one dealer that will do 7% off on the Casa Nova, putting the final price around $3800. Others may do more.

: : with Base unit, Analog input, digital input, analog output, video board, DD, DTS and "panel grade cover" will retail at $4100.

: : This is a highly configurable pre-pro. With the exception of the analog output card ($1000) various cards/options run anywhere from $200-$400 each.

: : The DACs used are Burr-Brown 1716: (96/24) 106dB dynamic range, -96dB THD, 105dB SNR. According to BB lit, "suitable for mid to high-grade audio applications".

: : : : According to a Theta tech, the first pieces will be shipped in the next 3 - 4 weeks. However, the system is truly modular. You have to add everything to the base unit, e.g. inputs/outputs (analog, digital, and video) as well as dolby digital and dts. A functional system will probably be in the $4K range retail.
