yea, the same happens on my unit but I don't think there is anything "wrong" with it. I guess I end up watching most movies at around -26 db. I am pretty sure the amp is to blame - its just weak I guess...which is one of the many reasons I am about to purchase a new receiver! ;)
Seriously, the 1080 isn't a bad unit for the price...but its getting cheaper every day!
