I was faced with the same decision, along with the rapidly changing technologies, not sure what I would want/need in another couple of years. If you're not wanting to spend a lot....why not try ebay? I found a great DPL receiver for $100.00 With this unit and a Hi-Fi VCR purchased new (you really can't save a lot on used VCR's) I am in business!!
