I would recommend buying a used DPL receiver to keep you going. Due to many audiophiles and videophiles upgrading to AC-3, there are a LOT of good DPL receivers out there on the used market - and plenty of affordable units can be bought cheaply. As a man suggested to me in respect to a good Yamaha DPL receiver I had... sell it now (last year) while I could get a fair amount out of it. I am glad I did!

Try rec.audio.marketplace and possibly eBay to see what you can find. Popular mass-market brands such as Sony and Pioneer are not bringing a lot of money - and when you turn around to sell it you will loose very little of your investment.
