HELP! 8ohm receiver driving 4ohm M&K speakers?

I think the the idea of putting a resitor is not very good, becaus it would turn some energy to heat, and energy is what you need to control your speakers. The impedance of almost all speakers depends of the frequency. So "8 ohms" is only some kind of average, but far from a exact value. Did you ever wonder why where are no 7 ohms or 5.52 ohm spekers - see, don't be afraid to put your speakers to your amp directly.
Remember, the sound should always be clear, if it disorts, your speakers or your amp can be dammaged, but there's a trick what you can do to avoid this: put down the volume a bit.
