why H/K AVR65 and Sony ES not THX

No receivers in the HK 65 or Sony ES 30/50 price range, from any manufacturer, has THX.
Remember that THX is a license....it cost money. It may also raise the cost of development and increases introduction time of products while THX labrotories test it.

THX is also a niche product, not meant for the majority of affordfable HT enthusiasm.

Over the years you have seen many people move away from THX now that DD and DTS are here. Kenwood even had a THX receiver at one time as well as Technics. Many speaker companies no longer support their THX lines as well. It is a small elite niche of the market unless they make drastic changes and try to do a DD route. The demanding requirements made for great HT during DPL days but seems to be less important to have the THX reference levels.

It is THX who was the inspiration of matched speaker timbre quality and my dipole surrounds in my DD and DTS system.
